Santa Carla Toys4U - Movie Figures
Welcome to Toys4U! A new environment in the Santa Carla world I've been creating that is home to all manner of amazing toys and games inspired by the awesome ones we played with as kids. With each project my aim is to explore using generative AI tools to help create the final image. My goal is to use traditional illustration and 3D CG to guide the AI tools toward something that adheres to my original design and intent. Using generative AI will allow me to realise this project with greater efficiency, but where possible I will inject traditional 2D and 3D techniques to ensure the final piece is authentically my own artwork.
The figures were "re-rendered" from my original 2D illustration using generative AI. The background cove was created using traditional CG
The graphic design and copy in each image was created in Photoshop
Each figure was generated separately to ensure the design was captured accurately. After composing the characters in Photoshop I then had the AI tool re-generate the image to make the lighting and shadowing look correct
For each piece I used an original illustration that I simplified to help the AI capture the details. Once I had a generation I was happy with I cleaned it up in Procreate, fixing isuses and keeping the design true to the original intent
