Book of Conversations - Rumour Mills

The Book of Conversations is a beautiful coffee table book filled with double page illustrations by several well known artists. I was fortunate enough to be selected to partake and my task, along with everyone else's was to illustrate a randomly selected provocative question. Mine was "what rumour did you start?" The idea of rumour mills formed quickly. I wanted to create two detailed images in one - the hectic inner workings of a mill (seen in cut away) and the fairground attraction-like mill environment, drawing in punters with its glittering lights and promise of illicit gossip!
